After wrapping up our time near Provins, we were able to take an early morning train to Paris. We had two incredibly full days to wander around the City of Lights and explore. Of course, one of our first destinations was the Champ de Mars to view the Eiffel Tower. I hadn’t been to Paris in over thirty years but the tower still defies description. Its simple beauty still draws me toward that area of Paris. As we wandered along the banks of the Seine I looked for ways to capture the essence of the scenes unfolding around me. This simple image of houseboats along the Seine with the Eiffel Tower looming in the distance displays that scene as well as any. Enjoy.
